Our faces do a lot of work for us. Whether we’re laughing, frowning, smiling, or crying, our faces are how we express ourselves. When you’re young and your skin is healthy, all that emoting doesn’t affect your face. Over time, though, those expressions can cause unwanted lines that leave people feeling frustrated and uncomfortable.
Why should aging mean you don’t get to express yourself?
Well, it doesn’t have to!
When injected by trained experts, neurotoxins in Rogers can help fight those lines without compromising your ability to be yourself.
But not all neurotoxins are the same. Most patients think their only option is Botox, but there are, in fact, a variety of neurotoxins available to help you look and feel your best.
Renew Aesthetics is proud to offer our clients Botox®️, Dysport®️, or Jeuveau®️ neurotoxin injections. We love seeing the look on our patient’s faces when they see the immediate improvement in the lines, wrinkles, and lax skin forming on the forehead and upper face.
With so little information about the different options available to patients, we wanted to take some time to outline how neurotoxins in Rogers work and what results you can expect.
BOTOX, Dysport, & Jeuveau
So, what precisely is Botox®️? We’re so glad you asked 😉
Botox and other neurotoxins in Rogers are purified strains of botulinum toxin, which temporarily block certain chemical signals from the nerves that cause muscles to contract. Once injected, neurotoxins (also called a neuromodulator) relax specific facial muscles. This softens the appearance of lines and wrinkles that can develop from repeated facial expressions.
These neurotoxins are some of the most frequently performed aesthetic treatments in the United States.
Why do facial movements lead to wrinkles?
Facial muscles are different from other muscles because they attach to the skin. Most other muscles in our bodies connect to the bone. This is what makes our faces so expressive and why you don’t often see anybody frowning with their shoulders.
However, a downside to this mobility is that when facial skin moves in the same ways repeatedly, wrinkles form. Wrinkles caused by skin movement, known as dynamic wrinkles, fall into the following 8 categories:
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Frown lines, the “11” lines between the eyebrows
- Crow’s feet at the outer corner of the eyes
- Bunny lines at the side of the nose
- Radial lip lines, the small vertical lines along the upper lip
- Marionette lines from the corners of the mouth downward
- Chin lines
When our skin is young and well moisturized, expression lines disappear as the face relaxes naturally. However, with time, dynamic creases will linger and become more pronounced.
The Available Formulas at Renew Aesthetics
At Renew, we know the best results come from personalized care. That means finding treatments that we know for sure will work for you the right way.
While the 3 formulas of neurotoxin we offer are all botulinum toxin products, they are not interchangeable. Before administering treatments, we have a 30-minute meeting to discuss your personal and family health history.
Dysport, Botox, and Jeuveau are all muscle relaxers. Like all medications, your provider will choose a specific one based on your health history, bone structure, metabolism, or desired result.
The different formulas typically last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on where your provider in Rogers injects the neurotoxins and your body’s unique chemistry.
We can monitor how you do with one brand and adjust accordingly at your next appointment. Renew cares about your satisfaction, so we won’t hesitate to tweak your treatment plan if a different formula may give results more suited to your needs.
What is Dysport?
Dysport®️ is a natural-looking, fast-acting, long-lasting prescription injection proven to help smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows—without changing the look or movement of your face.
Dysport is approved in 69 countries and has 25 years of clinical experience worldwide, with FDA approval in the US since 2011. Dysport’s formulation is thin and excels at targeting moderate to severe wrinkles between the eyebrows, making it ideal for localized injections where subtle treatment is the goal. Most patients notice results from Dysport within a few days of injections.
Botox vs. Dysport
Dysport and Botox block muscle contractions to smooth the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Both Dysport and Botox are derived from botulinum toxins, meaning they are safe for cosmetic use in small amounts.
Their difference lies in their potency. Dysport is a more diluted version of the botulinum toxin, so it spreads more quickly than Botox, which leads to patients experiencing results more quickly. Each formula suits specific treatment areas.
While the FDA approved Botox for treating forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines, Dysport’s only use is to treat forehead glabellar lines.
What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau® is a prescription medicine injected into muscles and used in adults for a short period to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).
Botox vs. Jeuveau
Jeuveau doesn’t contain accessory proteins, the main difference between it and Botox. By delivering the botulinum toxin without accessory proteins, Jeuveau helps prevent antibody resistance—which can occur with other formulas. This means you’re getting effective results with each treatment.
Injection Sites For Neurotoxins
While your provider targets specific sites for injection on your unique facial movements, the general injection sites for neurotoxins include:
- Upper lip: When injected in specific areas of the upper lip, Botox can lessen the look of a “gummy” smile or offer a subtle and natural enhancement to the upper lip.
- Corners of mouth: Injectors place neurotoxin strategically at the corners of the mouth to soften smile lines.
- Chin: Neurotoxins injections in the chin smooth the look of a dimpled chin.
- Upper eyebrow: When injected into the upper eyebrow, Botox relaxes the muscles responsible for drooping upper eyelids.
- Corners of eyes: With careful placement at the outer corners of the eyes, injectors can reduce crow’s feet.
- Sides of nose: Neurotoxins injected at the sides of the nose lessen and prevent bunny lines.
- Between eyebrows: Treating the area between the eyebrows smooths out the “11” lines that form there.
- Forehead: Forehead injections easily treat horizontal wrinkles along the brow
The Treatment Process for Neurotoxins in Rogers
So, we’ve discussed wrinkles, neurotoxins in Rogers, and the difference between neuromodulators in Rogers. Now what?
With the neurotoxin basics covered, we thought we’d take time to discuss the treatment process at Renew Aesthetics and frequent patient questions. After all, not everyone knows what to expect before, during, and after botox in Rogers. We want to make sure all our patients are comfortable at every stage of treatment 😊
Our patients visit our Rogers office from Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville, and beyond, and we want to make sure we get to know you. Before getting Botox®️, Dysport®️, or Jeuveau®️ injections, meet with one of our medical professionals for a free consultation.
We’ll work with you to understand your unique goals to create a personalized injection plan. Our number one priority is ensuring we dedicate enough time to get your treatment just right. If you have wrinkles because of sun damage, you might want to combine your treatment with dermal fillers for the best results.
During the procedure, we’ll ask you to contract your facial muscles so we can determine where the injections should go. We’ll inject the neurotoxin into those specific muscle clusters using a fine needle to distribute it evenly. You may experience mild pressure at injection sites, but other than that, the injections will be quick and easy.
Once complete, you’ll reap all the benefits of youthful, wrinkle-free skin. You’ll begin noticing results 24 to 48 hours after your Botox®️ in Rogers, Dysport®️, or Jeuveau®️ injections, and you can expect results to last 3 to 6 months!
Questions to ask your provider before getting neurotoxin injections
When you’ve provided quality medical and cosmetic skincare for as long as we have, you start hearing the same questions pop up. To help patients looking for more information before a consultation with a botox provider in Rogers, we thought we’d compile a few of the most frequently asked questions we receive!
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about neurotoxins:
Do Botox®️, Dysport®️, or Jeuveau®️ injections have side effects? Will they hurt?
Everyone reacts differently to facial injections with neuromodulators like Botox®️, Dysport®️, or Jeuveau®️. Regardless of which neurotoxin you choose, injections only take a few minutes. The process only causes minor discomfort for some, so you won’t need a local anesthetic to remain comfortable throughout the process.
You can go right back to your daily routine after your appointment, and most patients report feeling minimal discomfort during the injections. That said, we recommend planning your appointment at a time that you can go home and lie down for a few hours in case you experience redness or swelling.
Will my results look natural?
The key to natural-looking results is taking a conservative treatment approach and careful placement of the injections. You want to smooth and prevent dynamic wrinkles, not freeze your expressions!
The expert team at Renew Aesthetics helps our patients achieve their best look while still appearing just like themselves.
How much do neurotoxin injections cost?
The cost of wrinkle treatment injections at Renew Aesthetics largely depends on how much product we inject and where we inject. Different areas of the face require vastly different amounts of product to treat effectively.
At your initial consultation with us, we will provide you with the exact amount of product you’ll need to purchase to achieve the final look you want.
